Access to Justice Matters
Legal assistance should not be out of reach. Legal aid work is undertaken in appropriate cases to support individuals facing genuine difficulty in obtaining representation.
Considered Case-by-Case, Handled With Care
Assistance may be provided in selected criminal and family law matters, including situations requiring urgent attention and legal intervention. All requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, with regard to the nature of the matter, its urgency, and the circumstances involved, including financial considerations where relevant.
Legal aid is approached with the same level of care, preparation, and responsibility as all other matters, with a focus on providing clear guidance and practical direction. Where assistance cannot be offered, alternative arrangements may be discussed where appropriate.
